Homes for Veterans: Transforming a Wounded Warrior’s Home for Accessibility

Earth Saving Solutions | Denver, CO — In this heartwarming story, meet Tyler and Crystal Wilson of Arvada. After being shot four times and paralyzed from the waist down while serving in Afghanistan, Tyler relies on his firefighter wife to carry him upstairs multiple times a week. Thanks to Homes for Veterans, a VA grant, and local organizations, their home will soon undergo a complete renovation, including an elevator, roll-under kitchen sink, accessible bathroom, and raised living room. This transformation will give Tyler the independence he deserves and relieve Crystal of the physical burden of carrying him. Follow along as we document this life-changing renovation journey for a couple who embodies selfless love and resilience.
