Summary
One month after the initial story about the Wilson family, construction is now underway to make their Arvada home more accessible for disabled veteran Tyler Wilson. Chris Hock of Earth Saving Solutions is leading the renovation project, which includes walls being stripped to the studs, hardwood floors being installed, and an elevator nearly completed. The project is made possible through collaboration between Homes for Veterans, Houses for Warriors, the VA, and volunteers. Tyler, who was paralyzed from the waist down after being shot four times while serving in Afghanistan, will soon no longer need his wife Crystal to carry him upstairs, dramatically improving his independence and quality of life.
